Is Harmony sinking?

Ever since the latest Harry Potter book came out, there's been a lot of discussion and wailing about the H/Hr ship, aka Harmony, sinking. All sides seem to be going on about it. H/Hr shippers are complaining and looking for rays of hope. R/Hr and H/G shippers seem to be gloating that they are winning. I haven't read the whole book yet so I'm reserving judgement for later.
However, many of my fellow H/Hr shippers are making me ashamed to sail Harmony. They are bitching about every little thing and hating J.K. Rowling for things she said in interviews. To me, many of her comments seem harmless, no real malice. She was talking with rabid R/Hr people so naturally she was just trying to assure them that she wasn't going to do ships. She's not confirming or denying anything. At least, that's how I see it.
In the past JKR has shot down ships, cliches, and other things. That has not stopped people from believing them or writing about them. She has said that Snape has no daughter. Still, there are many Snape's daughter fics out there. We know certain ships will never happen, but still they exist and there are tons of Draco/Hermione or Draco/Harry fics out there. There's still one book to go. Whatever happens, just let it happen. It's just a book. The world will not end because your ship didn't sail.
J.K. Rowling created these characters that we care about and chose to share them with us. For that alone, we should be grateful to her.
If Harmony sinks, it's not the end of the world. You'll still believe. You'll still write fanfic. Just relax, it's only a book.
